Gourmet Lodge 10008 Meeting 01/04/2026

We are delighted to announce that our 9th Regular Meeting will be held at Villa Marina, an authentic, family-run Italian restaurant situated on the banks of the River Thames. Known for its warm hospitality and exquisite cuisine, Villa Marina offers a stunning riverside setting perfect for our fraternity to enjoy good food, good wine, and good company.

Our meeting will commence at 18:30 hours on Wednesday, 1st April 2026.

We look forward to welcoming you to this esteemed venue, where tradition, fellowship, and a distinguished setting will come together to create an evening of significance and camaraderie. This fine dining experience will be at a cost of £79.50 (including a non-refundable £1.40 booking fee).

NB: Dress code – Dinner Jackets preferred.

Our meeting will commence at 17:30 hrs on Wednesday, 22nd October 2025.

We are delighted to invite you to the 7th Regular Meeting of the Lodge, to be held at The Chartered Institute of Marketing’s historic Moor Hall in Cookham. This distinguished venue, originally built in 1805 by London merchant William Skinner, began as a farmhouse overlooking the moor before being transformed into a Victorian stately home, retaining many of its elegant architectural features.

Throughout its rich history, Moor Hall has served various purposes—providing refuge for evacuees during World War II, later operating as film studios for Odeon Cinemas in the 1940s and 1950s, and now standing as the prestigious home of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

Nestled in the picturesque village of Cookham, a place of inspiration for renowned writers and artists, including Sir Stanley Spencer, Kenneth Grahame, Roald Dahl, and Enid Blyton, Moor Hall offers a setting that seamlessly blends historical grandeur with modern sophistication.

Our meeting will commence at 18:00 hrs on Wednesday, 26th March 2025, set within this distinguished environment. Following the formal proceedings, we will dine in the Edinburgh Room, an elegant space known for its refined atmosphere, where guests will enjoy a memorable culinary experience in a setting befitting the occasion.

For your convenience, ample complimentary parking is available on-site.

White Wine – Babich Black Label Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand – Gold Medals all around the globe this is one beautiful Sauvignon Blanc. The bouquet is a mix of tropical fruits and passion fruit. The palate is luscious and lively.

Red Wine – Senorial Tinto Rioja, – Spain, Ripe fruit, blackcurrants and cherries – which are well integrated with toasted aromas of cinnamon, caramelised toffee and butter, showing attractive development with a whisper of oak.
